American Buffalo: In Search of a Lost Icon

American Buffalo was an awesome book. By far my favorite book I have read this year.

I had no idea when I bought this book what it was about or how fascinating the story of America’s buffalo truly is.

Steve does a great job of interweaving the story of his buffalo hunt with the history of the iconic beast.

I learned a ton about Buffalo, conservation and what America looked like thousands of years ago.
