Book Summary:

Jason and David are the founders of 37 signals which built Basecamp. Rework is a collection of their blog posts (reformatted and highly condensed) describing the challenges and successes they have had in their businesses.

Rework has extremely short chapters, but they deliver insightful thoughts and lessons. Most of what Rework covers is thought provoking and goes against what is typically thought of as sound business logic.

This book is a great read for anyone who is frustrated with their business’ growth or wants to challenge the way the conduct their day to day operations.

Jason regularly publishes content on Medium

Biggest Takeaway:

Making the call is making progress. When you put off decisions, they pile up. And piles end up ignored, dealt with in haste, or thrown out. As a result, the individual problems in those piles stay unresolved.

Whenever you can, swap “Let’s think about it” for “Let’s decide on it.” Commit to making decisions.
